Located 5 minutes away from Salt Fork Lake State Park, Tim's cabin is a gem nested into the woods. Recently renovated, the cabin is immaculate, has awesome air conditioning, a netted porch for insect-free lounging, and a private lake filled with fish that will follow you around (including a massive carp). Tim is an awesome communicator, and keeps the cabin up to date with amenities and utensils, and has put a lot of hard work into making the cabin unique and special. I look forward to coming back and experiencing it again for a quiet weekend getaway in the middle of the woods. I highly reccomend for anyone that is looking for peace in nature
If you are looking for a place to unplug and be surrounded by nature, this is the place to go!
Peaceful retreat I thoroughly enjoyed my time away at Yore Cottage. The cottage was clean, cozy and well stocked. I spent a large amount of my time meditating on the screen porch, listening to and watching the birds, frogs and trees. The pond and the trails with streams were perfect for hiking at the beginning of each day. And sitting out under the moon and stars at night made for an ethereal experience. Thank you for sharing your space.
The Yore Cottage was a beautiful place to spend the weekend. It is very secluded and had great views from the pond. The cottage is very well maintained and was sparkling clean! The screened in porch was a great spot that stayed cool with an overhead fan. Loved the ability to disconnect from everything happening around us and relax in the cottage.
Peaceful We loved our time at Yore Cottage and wished we could have stayed longer! The property was quiet and beautiful. We loved the trails, the fire pit and the pond. The cottage was immaculately clean and very comfortable. Tim communicated with us very quickly. Highly recommended to anyone looking for some peace who enjoys the outdoors.
I was pleasantly surprised by the constant chatter from the nature surrounding us. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. The pond and fire pit is where we spent most of our time. A short drive to Salt Fork State Park. It was a beautiful property and we hope to be back soon! Tim was very responsive and helpful whenever we had questions. One thing that was no problem with the cabin but our GPS when searching the address, the gps was a bit screwy- just take note that it is at the south end.
Our only issues was having (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps send us down the completely wrong road! It had us turn on Coats Road which was incorrect. My suggestion would be follow signs for the Rocky Stables and continue on the road. The driveway has a gate but no signage.
